SWITZERLAND SUMMARY – 2012
In 2012, I sold my home and used some of the funds to travel to Europe to meet up with my son, Jesse, who had been traveling and was about to finish his first walk on the Camino de Santigo pilgrimage trail.
We planned a trip through the Swiss Alps on the Glacier Express following a trip to Munich to attend Oktoberfest.
We boarded the train in Munich and headed for Switzerland. Our first night was spent in Chur, our second night was spent in Zermatt, which lies below the Matterhorn. We spent our final night at the Geneva airport after changing our flight plans.
Partway through the trip, we stopped in Disentis, where another engine had to be added to get up the steeper inclines.
