I visited the Budapest on my 2018 trip to Europe. Budapest was a round trip flight from Chicago and back, so I would be returning 3 months later to fly home. Most of my stay in Budapest was with Couchsurfers, and I am so glad. This was really my first time all alone in a foreign country. I did not know the language and I did not know how to travel on public transit.
Day one consisted of the Buda side of Budapest and included: Buda Castle, Fisherman’s Bastion, Matthias Church, The Labyrinth and Margaret Island.
Day two consisted of the Pest side. of Budapest and included: The Citadel, Gellert Hill, the Parlliment, Libery Square, St. Stephen’s Basilica, Hero’s Square, City Park and Dohany Street Synagogue.
