Salföld is a tiny village in Hungary. This short side trip was added to the day trip on May 13, 2018 that included Tapolca, Sümeg, and Tihany. And although it is small, it’s interesting. When we arrived we parked in an open field and walked up to the village.

Very cute houses, Salföld Manor and the Salföld Pauline Monastery ruins make is worth the stop.

We hung out at the Manor for a few hours. There were animals, a small shop and snack counter. After this we took a ride on a horse drawn wagon out to see the monastery ruins. We ended up with a flat tire on the wagon on the way back, but it was still a fun afternoon.
